Did you submit a talk at JOTB’s call for papers but it was not selected? Do you want to become a speaker at JOTB and enjoy with the rest of speaker our event? Or maybe you just want to give a short talk and have some fun?

Lightning Talk Challenge

Take part in our Lightning talk challenge!

It is free and open to anyone, regardless of whether they have a conference ticket! On the 13r of May we will run a lightning talk challenge with the following format:

  • Talks must be humorous and entertaining.
  • Five minutes talk.
  • After 4 minutes the audience will decide whether you get an extra 3 or you get cut off at minute 5.

At the end of the session we will announce the winner who will be able to give a 20 minutes talk in one of the tracks of J On The beach!

I think I have seen this kind of activity in other conferences, have you copied it?

Yes, we have completely ripped this idea from Cppcon. We like C++ and all honours to that conference.
